The First Interstate Bank Cancer Kickers, led by Rebecca Phipps and Kori Coats, raised the most funds of any team participating in this year’s Climb to Conquer Cancer event in Red Lodge held August 5. The team raised a total of $5,174 for the American Cancer Society.

Per the AMC’s website, 17 teams and 324 participants helped raise a total of $19,014 during the event. For First Interstate Bank teller Kori Coats, participation in Climb to Conquer Cancer is important on multiple levels. “I climb for personal experience as well as doing it for the ones that can’t,” she said. “The Climb is such an awesome cause, and it’s refreshing to see the ones that have conquered cancer or those who are fighting up on that mountain. It’s incredibly inspiring to see so many gather together, all supporting and embracing that ‘never give up’ attitude.”

In addition to funds raised, First Interstate Bank has consistently shown support for the Climb to Conquer Cancer by hosting an annual community garage sale and volunteering time at the event.
