North Dakota pipeline authorities have announced that six natural gas processing plants are coming on-line in the Bakken over the next few months.
Two are being completed this year, and four others are scheduled next year.
The two coming on line in September and October – representing a $300 million investment - will add 400 million cubic feet of gas processing,
The four plants that will come on line in 2019 will add another 965 mcf. The total investment for all six plants amounts to a $1.3 billion investment for North Dakota.
More plants are likely to be announced in the future, because gas production in North Dakota has exceed processing capacity.
