From Bozeman comes the news that the 2018 Prospera Award winners are: Innovator of the Year Award – JELT; The Business of the Year Award — Mystery Ranch; and Economic Leadership Award Dean & Hope Folkvord.
Jelt created a retro-inspired, multi-functional belt for everyday use. Their innovation did not stop there, the belt they produce is 100% made from recycled water bottles and they have the packaging to match.
Wheat Montana’s CEO Dean & Hope Folkvord received the Economic Leadership Award for their significant contribution to the economic development in their area. They are part of a company that has taken a Montana staple and grown it into an entire baking line by adding value to wheat before it leaves the state.
Mystery Ranch secured the business of the year award with their consistent contribution to their community. Their backpacks have helped two men carry hundreds of pounds of gear over 478 miles in the arctic chill of the North Pole and carried the turnout gear for firefighters facing the unpredictability of wildland fires.
