Rimrock Mall will award free space in an entrepreneurship contest.

Have an idea? Need some space for free? Rimrock Mall wants your best ideas for their The Challenge: Battle of the Pop-Up contest. Rimrock Mall is conducting its first ever The Challenge: Battle of the Pop-Up - a contest that awards two area entrepreneurs each a rent-free space for six months, use of existing fixtures and free utilities. The contest runs now through Monday, August 21.

“We believe that area entrepreneurs, both new or existing concepts, and emerging brands are vital to the success of our mall and the community as a whole. Many people don’t realize that approximately 25 percent of our retailers, restaurants and kiosks are locally owned,” said Devin Hartley, Rimrock Mall. “Our Battle of the Pop-Up is a way to showcase all of the entrepreneurial talent we have in Billings.”

To enter, participants must obtain a business license by November 1, 2017 and be prepared to operate their business during mall hours from November 1, 2017 through Monday, April 30, 2018. Entries will be judged on business strategy, concept creativity, and likelihood of profitability among other criteria.

The deadline for entries is August 21. There is no cost to enter. For more information go to Rimrock Mall’s website. Winners will be contacted via email or phone the week of August 28.

Rimrock Mall is located at 300 S. 24th St. W in Billings.

Rimrock Mall features more than 80 stores, restaurants and a 10-screen Carmike theater.
