EEC, a local engineering and architectural firm, announced that the existing Diamond Parking Lot located at 317 North 26th in Billings was recently acquired by a new owner. The new owner, who was not identified, plans to construct a new, six level, state- of –the- art parking garage on the site in the near future.
The new parking facility will contain 430 parking spaces for the owners and employees of businesses in the Stillwater Building, as well as, the general public. There will be a skybridge that will connect the Stillwater Building, located across the street to the west, to the new parking structure.
This project represents a major capital investment into the downtown Billings area.
Connecting the parking facility with Stillwater will be “a strong hub for business for generations to come,” predicts Leif Welhaven of EEC. The Stillwater Building is the former federal courthouse – the James F. Battin Building.
