The Laurel School District is asking voters for $52.5  million bond to expand and remodel its schools.
After six community meetings, a community survey and numerous school level meetings, the Educational Facility Planning committee has developed the following proposal for community review:

—South School repurposed into Laurel Career and Technical Campus.
—West School renovations including new classroom space and a gymnasium to become a K-2 building.
—Land purchase for new elementary school for grade 3-5 students.
—Graff School transitioned to new administration building.
—Selling current administration building and old gym.
—Middle School changed to a grade 6-8 school.
—High school renovations to create classroom space and auxiliary gym.
—Transportation department moved to new elementary school site.
—All sites to address traffic flow issues, current overcrowding and expected growth.
