Montana Fair Housing, Inc. will receive $300,000 of public funds through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to “fight housing discrimination under its Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP),” according to a recent release.

The grant is part of $37 million that is being dispersed to similar agencies  throughout the country.

Montana Fair Housing, Inc. receives the funds as a Private Enforcement Initiative (PEI,  which is an organizations that conducts intake, testing, investigation and litigation of fair housing complaints under the Fair Housing Act.
