Devon Davidson, owner of MARS of Billings, has been named Montana SBA Small Business Person of the Year for 2019. Four other awards also go to Billings’ recipients, including Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year, Luke Osborne, Amanda Osborne and Tom Osborne, Hydrosolutions, Inc., of Billings and Helena; Young Entrepreneur-Owned Business of the Year, Nicole Griffith, Well Pared LLC; and Small Business Champion of the Year, Debbie Singer, Billings; and Big Sky Finance, of Billings, the leading Certified Development Company approving 10 504 loans totaling $9,914,000.

Also, the SBA is awarding Webb Brown, Helena, former Montana Chamber of Commerce President with the Legacy Award.

Other awards include: 8(a) Graduate of the Year, Tanya Chemodurow, Abatement Contractors of Montana, Missoula; Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year, Raegen Breeden, Play N Learn Daycare, Great Falls; Multi Generation-Owned Business of the Year, Chris Barry and Corri Barry, Clancy; and Glacier Bancorp, Inc., the leading SBA 7(a) lender in Montana for number and dollars of loans, with 54 loans totaling $9,956,400. The Montana Women’s Business Center in Bozeman, under the leadership of Director Suzi Berget White, will receive the National Women’s Business Center of Excellence Award.

“I congratulate Devon Davidson, and all the other awardees, for being named Montana’s Small Business Week winners,” said Wayne Gardella, Helena, SBA’s Montana District Director.  “Montana has a long and rich history of entrepreneurship and innovation and we are proud to honor these small businesses with these awards.”

National Small Business Week is set as the first week in May, and this year the dates are May 5-11, with national events planned in Washington, D.C. and other locations in the country.

Montana award winners will be recognized at a celebration on May 2 in Great Falls at Meadow Lark Country Club. This year’s event is being coordinated with the Great Falls Small Business Development Center at Great Falls Development Authority. The public is invited.
